Cyclist walks away from 'head-on' crash horror with no major injuries
A CYCLIST touches down as his bike flies overhead following a nasty crash he believes he was lucky to survive.
Amazingly, Jack Schofield, 27, suffered no major injuries after the head-on with the car, but he was treated for five hours in hospital.
The photographer and triathlete said: "I think I've broken my toe and that's about it.
"There was a mini roundabout [and] the car was coming from my left.
"But rather than letting me go or going around, we crashed head-on." Jack, from Leeds, said his bike was "trashed" in the smash in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, which he has reported to police.
The image of Jack's encounter with the white Toyota Yaris comes from footage captured on a passing motorist's dashcam.
Jack added: "If can get one person to think twice about cutting a roundabout that's a success. I've had friends who aren't that lucky. As a cyclist you're just so vulnerable."
