You'll have had your high tea...
WHEN asking a waiter to find you a “decent” table in a restaurant, you might expect to be seated next to a window with diverting views of a bustling street.
But when you look down to see the whole city, it’s a pretty safe bet you’ve landed an altogether different experience.
That’s what lies in store for diners at this summer’s Edinburgh Festival – or at least for those with a head for heights.
Bookings will be taken for meals at the 22-seat table, hanging from a crane 100ft over West Princes Street Gardens throughout August. Dada Ventures’ Festival in the Sky has already wowed diners in 30 cities worldwide, including Las Vegas and Paris.
Councillor Steve Cardownie, festivals and events champion for the City of Edinburgh, said: “Dining in the sky will be memorable enough, but with the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, our World Heritage Site and the views across the River Forth, this will surely be an unforgettable experience.”
