Lorry kill husband is jailed
A former policeman who killed his wife by driving over her in a lorry has been jailed for five years.
Josephine Lamb, 58, suffered “catastrophic” injuries.
Haulage company boss Graeme Lamb told a 999 operator: “I thought she’d get out of the way.”
Newcastle Crown Court heard they had been drinking and had a row on July 12 last year. Mrs Lamb was “jealous” and unhappy about her husband’s friendship with another woman, with whom he subsequently moved in.
Lamb, 48, was yesterday found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. He was cleared of manslaughter.
