Horror crash as girl, 3, rushed to hospital after falling out of a car outside McDonald's
A woman, 37, was arrested for drug driving and child protection offences following the horrific incident near a McDonald's on Merseyside.
A three-year-old was rushed to a hospital on Thursday after falling out of a car and then being hit by a transit van.
The girl is currently fighting for her life after sustaining "serious injuries" from the incident.
A woman, 37, from Leasowe, was arrested on suspicion of driving while on drugs and for child protection-related offences following the incident, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The horrific incident took place near a McDonald's at a retail park in Wirral, Merseyside just after 4pm two days ago.
Merseyside Police say the girl is in a critical condition but remains stable.

The police force said that the "serious road traffic collision" happened on Welton Road, Bromborough.
The driver of the silver transit van that struck the little girl stopped immediately at the scene and is assisting police with the investigation.
The woman arrested at the scene will also be interviewed by Merseyside Police.
It is understood the child fell from a Nissan Qashqai.
Officers from the Roads Policing team carried out examinations at the scene.
