Supergran goes abseiling for Help for Heroes
WHEN they get to 80 most people dream of putting their feet up. And Brenda Backhouse is no different - it's just she puts them 120ft in the air to abseil down a store front.
The adrenalin junkie has jumped from planes, scaled glaciers and gone white-water rafting to raise cash for charity Help for Heroes. But mother-of-five Brenda, who also loves solo backpacking, got a special kick out of her daredevil descent of the Birmingham store.
The retired PE teacher and great-grandmother of Yoxall, Saffs said:
"I felt like a female James Bond. I don't get scared. And I don't feel 80."
