With the promise of hot sunny weather around the corner, Brits are already making plans for a serene staycation to escape the hustle and bustle of busy cities.

Cornwall is among the best destinations for those looking for picturesque islands, breathtaking sunsets, and walking trails.

However, the peace can sometimes be disturbed by the huge number of tourists that flock to the Cornish shores all in hopes of the same thing.

In such cases, the rare corners of Cornwall that have remained untouched are an ideal place for those hoping for a holiday off the beaten path.

Travellers can explore Cornwall's hidden beaches, quaint fishing villages, and local landmarks offering a journey into Cornish culture, history, and natural beauty.

One such undiscovered spot is Frenchman’s Creek. It is a particularly scenic place on the Helford River, near the village of Helford. The wide expanse of the river here allows for kayaking and small boat trips.

Additionally, there is a popular three-mile walk that passes through woodland and farmland, leading to a hilltop with the best views over the creek.

Similarly, Cawsand and Kingsand are twin villages in southeast Cornwall, located on the quieter, more secluded Rame Peninsula. Known as Cornwall’s 'forgotten corner,' this area is an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Its remote location makes it a natural haven, avoiding the typical summer crowds of Cornwall.

These villages are quintessentially Cornish, with narrow streets lined with fishing cottages leading to small 'village beaches.' Although they can get busier on weekends with day-trippers from Devon, Cawsand and Kingsand remain well off Cornwall's beaten track.

Lantic Bay is located between the towns of Fowey and Polperro on Cornwall's southern coast. With lush green hills, golden sands, and turquoise waters, it is one of Cornwall's most picturesque beach spots.

Despite being fairly well-known, it is rarely crowded due to the challenging access, involving steep and sometimes uneven paths. However, the effort to reach it is well worth it.

Tourists who have been to the beautiful place have been left mesmerised by its beauty. One person wrote on TripAdvisor: "Lovely beach, very beautiful place however lots of steps definitely will return. Very clean and lots of character."

A second user said: "As everyone else mentions the walk down isn't easy but that is the very reason this place is so special, probably the best beach I've visited in the UK and the weather played its part stunning for October."
