Seventh politician in probe
ANOTHER MP was facing possible prosecution last night over allegations of expenses fraud.
Lawyers from the Crown Prosecution Service are to study the MP’s expenses claims after Scotland Yard sent them a detailed dossier yesterday.
So far, four MPs and two members of the House of Lords have been charged with fiddling their expenses.
David Chaytor, 61, former Labour MP for Bury North, faces jail after he admitted theft by false accounting at the Old Bailey last week. He will be sentenced next month.

Nine files have been compiled by the Yard team for the CPS including the one delivered yesterday. Six have resulted in charges and two others with no further action.
Investigations into alleged expenses fiddling by other politicians is continuing, the Yard said.
