The 2oz cubs, just over a week old, each weigh little more than a golf ball and are the smallest ever seen at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in Highbridge, Somerset.
Staff, who have named the two females and one male Lavender, Saffron and Nutmeg, believe their mother sensed the coming danger and moved them to higher ground.
Charity founder Pauline Kidner, 60, said the three need “specialist TLC” and will stay in an incubator for five weeks and be fed milk.
They will eventually be moved to a field to learn to dig and forage before being released.
