‘Old Firm must end tensions’
THE Old Firm were yesterday urged to “put their house in order” after police launched a probe into the chaos that erupted during last week’s controversial clash.
Officers are investigating allegations that Celtic manager Neil Lennon made racist remarks to Rangers Senegalese striker El Hadji Diouf as tensions boiled over during the Scottish Cup replay.
Lennon’s lawyer Paul McBride QC dismissed the racism allegations as “defamatory and outrageous”.

But former First Minister Henry McLeish yesterday insisted that it is “up to the clubs” to end tensions.
They’re the cornerstone of Scottish football
Mr McLeish, a former player who last year complied a review of Scottish football for the SFA, said: “They’re the cornerstone of Scottish football, so it really is not in the interests of Rangers and Celtic to be viewed like this. What we need now is an acknowledgement by the clubs that they must put their own house in order.”
