More than a third with children under five felt pressure to be a perfect parent, a poll found.

Dads were more worried about criticism from wives or girlfriends while mums feared being judged a bad parent by professionals.
Kay Bews, of family support charity Home-Start UK, which conducted the poll, said: “Home-Start’s approach is to encourage parents to trust in their own ability by developing confidence and skills.”
Not giving a child emotional support was the top reason cited for thinking someone a bad parent.
