HOPES of a British Wimbledon Champion are still alive after Andy Murray battled his way into the quarter-finals.
HOPES of a British Wimbledon Champion are still alive after Andy Murray battled his way into the quarter-finals.
The 26-year-old won in straight sets against Mikhail Youzhny, but had to come back from 5-2 down in the second to win a tiebreak.
The result gave the thousands of supporters inside Centre Court and watching on big screens on Henman Hill something to cheer, after fellow Briton Laura Robson was knocked out earlier today.
Murray is on course to meet world number one Novak Djokovic in the final, and is hoping to go one better than last year when his hopes of becoming Wimbledon Champion were dashed by Roger Federer.
