Sorry folks... but I like my octopus rare - six legged octopus became dinner
SCHOOLGIRL Areti Hydras poses proudly with an octopus her father caught on holiday in Greece.
But it wasn’t until the family had cooked and eaten the creature, that they found out it was extremely rare. In fact it is only the second six-legged octopus ever found.
Ten-year-old Areti’s father Labros, a 49-year-old engineer from Washington DC, said: “It tasted just like a normal octopus but now I feel really guilty.
“I thought it had just been born with six tentacles instead of the normal eight.”
The only other “hexapus” was found five years ago off North Wales.
