British tennis stars 'too spoilt' to win major tournaments
MOST British players are “too spoilt” to win major tournaments like Wimbledon, said a top expert yesterday.
Belgian Julien Hoferlin, 47, the coach of British men’s No 2 Dan Evans, was speaking after the 24-year-old lost in the first round.
“He (Evans) has the potential to make himself a top-60 player, but he makes no sacrifices,” said Hoferlin.
“He doesn’t understand that tennis has to be his priority. The players are too spoilt.”
