Mum charged with murdering her own baby daughter who died 'just minutes' after being born
A YOUNG mother has today been charged with murdering her baby daughter just minutes after giving birth to her.
Gintare Suminaite, 29, has been charged with murder
Blonde Gintare Suminaite was taken straight into custody from hospital after allegedly killing the tiny tot, who was "a few minutes old".
The 29-year-old Lithuanian will appear before Crawley Magistrates court tomorrow after being charged with murder by detectives.
An ambulance was called to her home in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, shortly after 8.30am on Wednesday but the baby girl was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Suminaite was then rushed to St Richard's Hospital in nearby Chichester for urgent medical treatment.

She was discharged on Friday and immediately taken into custody by officers from Sussex police.
A police spokesman confirmed the young mother was charged with murder yesterday, just three day's after her baby daughter's death.
He said: "The baby was newborn, a few minutes old.
"Gintare Suminaite was released from hospital on Friday 8 April and taken into custody. She was charged on Saturday 9 April."

In a separate incident detectives in Dorset tonight arrested a man on suspicion of murdering a three-month old baby boy found seriously injured in a flat.
A police spokesman revealed they have taken a 33-year-old man into custody after the tiny to was rushed to hospital, but could not be saved.
Paramedics found the grievously wounded baby at a flat in Carysfort Road, Boscombe, at around 3.30pm on Friday.
Forensics experts were tonight combing the flat for clues before the youngster's post mortem takes place early next week.
The spokesman said: "Police received a report from the ambulance service that a baby had been taken seriously ill at a flat along Carysfort Road.
"A three-month-old boy had sustained injuries and was conveyed to Royal Bournemouth Hospital, before being taken to Southampton General Hospital for specialist treatment.
"Sadly, the boy was pronounced dead at 5.10am on Saturday 9 April 2016. HM Coroner has been notified and next of kin are aware."
Detective Inspector Richard Dixey, of Dorset Police's Major Crime Investigation Team, added: "I can confirm that the tragic death of this young boy is being treated as suspicious and a murder investigation, led by the Major Crime Investigation Team, has been launched as a result.
"A 33-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and he continues to assist police with their enquiries. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
