Tahir Nazir, 40, went on a 7,000 mile quest to sexually assault students who were rendered helpless by cheap Freshers' Week alcohol, Manchester Crown Court heard.
One woman in Manchester woke to find Nazir licking her neck and trying to rape her and, while in Cardiff, he was discovered lying on top of a 'very drunk' female student.

The prosecution said Nazir would take viagra and cocaine to heighten his sexual appetite and would sleep in his car while he trawled for victims at universities in Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford, Bristol and Cardiff.
The divorcee, from Glasgow, had a "sexual obsession" with students and researched college events where undergraduates would be drunk and incapable of fighting him off, the court heard.
Evidence showed Nazir had conducted surveillance at Victoria Halls of Residence at the University of Manchester, taking 38 pictures on his phone.
An examination of his internet history showed he had searched for things such as "Freshers' Week" and "high school girls".
The court heard that Nazir sneaked into New Lawrence House student halls in Hulme, Manchester, and attempted to follow a woman as she staggered towards her room, but she managed to shut the door before he could get in.
Another young woman woke up to find Nazir licking her neck, naked from the waist down and "thrusting himself against her", according to Henry Blackshaw, for the prosecution.
Nazir was arrested on November 6, 2015, when girls in a shared house in Fallowfield told police that a man was trying to enter their property.
DNA evidence linked the self-titled "entrepreneur" to other offences.
Nazir denied all the allegations, claiming he had been invited back to the halls by female students in Cardiff and Hulme, and that he was looking for a drug dealer who had ripped him off in Fallowfield.
He claimed his tour of Britain was inspired by his love of driving and Gothic architecture.
The 40-year-old was convicted of trespass with intent to commit an offence, sexual assault, attempted rape, and three charges of trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence, sentenced to 12 years in prison and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
