Easter set to be big washout
THE Easter break looks likely to be a washout – with heavy showers forecast from today until the weekend.
The Met Office said downpours will hit England and Wales this afternoon. And the bad weather will still be with us tomorrow.
On Thursday a new weather front will move in. But sadly more drizzle is on the cards.
Met Office forecaster, Barry Grommet, said: “There will be more rain overnight tonight which will be quite heavy across Scotland and Wales. Thursday sees a new frontal system that unfortunately brings more rain with nowhere escaping a downpour.
“And it’s a rather unsettled, mixed bag for the Easter weekend with showers for all of us, everywhere."
The weather need not dampen anyone's enthusiasm for gorging chocolate - there are even special goodies for those with food allergies and intolerances.
