The Met Office has issued a new severe weather warning for the UK, with thunderstorms and heavy showers expected across the country. There are several places affected by the warning which advises of showers in a few areas where heavy rain and thunderstorms could lead to travel disruption and flooding.
The Met Office warning is in force from 1pm to 9pm on Tuesday, August 10.
The warning advises of some flooding in homes and businesses and potential impact to driving conditions.
The thunderstorm warning is currently only due to impact areas of Scotland.
In particular, the following areas will be affected Central, Tayside and Fife including Angus and Perth and Kinross.
The Grampian region will also be impacted including Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The Met Office warning reads: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms will break out during the afternoon.
"0.4 to 0.8 inches (10mm to 20mm) rain could fall in an hour or so in some places and 0.8 and 1.6 inches (20mm to 40mm) rain may build up over several hours in a few spots.
"Lightning and hail will be additional hazards for some.
"These showers will then ease and fade away during the evening."
The weather warning is in effect despite sunny spells and fewer showers forecast for much of the rest of the country.
The Met Office forecast for Tuesday advises of sunny spells for most areas and a drier day than of late for most areas.
There will still be some showers about though, mainly in the east and especially over eastern Scotland with some heavy, thundery downpours.
Light winds will also hit the country and conditions will feel warmer.

Overnight on Tuesday, daytime showers will fade leaving many areas dry with clear spells.
A few areas will see patches of fog, however.
Cloudier conditions and outbreaks of rain will reach parts of Northern Ireland by dawn.
On Wednesday, these cloudy conditions and outbreaks of rain will spread from Northern Ireland into Scotland, northern England and Wales.
Elsewhere staying dry with sunny spells, best of sunshine in the southeast.
From Thursday through to Saturday, northern areas will see rainy conditions with brisk breezes.
Southern areas are expected to be mainly fine and settled however.
On Saturday, cloud, rain and drizzle is expected to impact many areas across the southwest.
