Britain will be colder than Greenland and parts of Sweden later this month, hitting just 2C.

WXCharts has forecast that on May 25, the coldest parts of Britain will be chiller than Stockholm, which is expected to be 4C.
Areas of the UK which will be coldest are central and northern Scotland (Fort William, Aberdeen, Inverness, Wick), where it will be between 2C and 4C.
Southern Scotland and northern England (Edinburgh, Dumfries, Newcastle, Carlisle) will sit between 6C and 8C.
The midlands (Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich), Northern Ireland (Derry, Belfast) and Wales (Conwy, Cardiff) will be between 9C and 11C.

Southern England (Plymouth, Southampton, Canterbury) will be the warmest part of the country, between 10C and 13C.
There is also a chance for rain in the south of England, sweeping from Land’s End to Dover. It will be heaviest over Plymouth.
The Met Office said of the period: “After a potentially more settled spell of weather, unsettled conditions are likely to return during the week with the wettest conditions in the west. Above average temperatures more likely.”

Dry this evening with plenty of sunshine, while any lingering showers across Scotland soon clear. Overnight, it will stay dry with clear spells, though some fog patches are possible, especially along North Sea coasts. A mild night for many.
Sunday:
Sunny spells across the country, though an increasing risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms in the north and west as we move through the day. Feeling very warm and humid.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Turning unsettled next week as low pressure moves in from the Atlantic. Rain and lower temperatures moving in for Monday, with further rain and heavy showers for Tuesday and Wednesday.
