After parts of the country endured snow at the weekend, things will do an about-face, with the promise of the hottest spell of the year so far.
Forecasters say after a wet and blustery start to the week things will start to pick up from tomorrow, bringing sunshine and blue skies.
April's been a bonkers month
It follows a rollercoaster ride of changeable weather which saw thermometers hit 64F (18C) last week, before falling below freezing at the weekend. Scotland and parts of the north were thrown back into winter misery after a plume of Arctic air swept the region.
