Loopy Corporal takes tea hopes sky high
A MAN set the world record for flying the most loop-the-loops while slurping on a mug of tea today.
Corporal Stewart Hefti – an RAF serviceman wounded two years ago in Iraq – has only just recovered from severe leg injuries.
But the do-gooder was determined to make history in the name of charity.
Flown by former RAF Red Arrows team leader Andy Offer, Hefti put cup to saucer and made his peculiar record bid at the RAF Museum in Cosford, near Wolverhampton.
The 27-year-old took to the passenger seat for the brew-slurping event as a series of fundraising tea parties were held all over the country.
Hefti’s efforts will persuade supporters to raise cash for the Brew for the Few organisation – a charity honouring the bravery of RAF personnel in the Second World War.
