Men are biggest gossips
MEN are bigger tittle-tattlers than women, a study reveals.
They spend an average 76 minutes a day chatting with their mates or colleagues, compared to just 52 minutes for women.
Hot topics for men include drunken friends’ antics, old school pals and the most attractive girl at work.
Women are more likely to bitch about other females, other people’s sex lives or their friends’ weight gains.
The poll of 5,000 people by research company www.onepoll.com. reveals the office is the preferred place for men to gossip.
Women would rather tittle-tattle in the comfort of their homes.
Men’s discussions are more influenced by what is happening at work, while women are more inclined to take note of celebrity lifestyles and soap gossip.
Onepoll said: “It is commonly believed that women love to spread gossip.
“But in fact men love a bit of scandal and will do anything they can to be the centre of attention with their colleagues and peers.”
