'20 killed' in bus gorge plunge
At least 20 people have been killed when a bus reportedly plunged into a gorge in mountainous northern India.
About 26 people were also injured as the bus came off the road on a sharp bend.
It rolled nearly 90 yards into the gorge near the village of Assar, 90 miles east of Jammu, the winter capital of the Jammu-Kashmir state.
Assar chief medical officer Iftekhar Ahmad said 23 of injured people have been admitted to hospital in a critical condition.
Angry relatives and residents threw stones at police and transport officials, complaining of inadequate medical facilities at the hospital, Ahmad said.
At least three police officers were injured in the scuffle, he said.
