Wrong embryo woman is 'an angel'
The biological parents of a baby boy born to a US woman who had the wrong embryo implanted by a fertility clinic said they will be "eternally grateful" to her.
Paul and Shannon Morell of suburban Detroit said in a statement the baby was born on Friday and weighed 5lb 3oz.
The Morells described birth mother Carolyn Savage of Toledo as their "guardian angel".
The Savages said a fertility clinic outside Ohio transferred the wrong frozen embryo in February.
Ten days later, they got a call from a doctor at the clinic saying she was pregnant with someone else's child.
The Savages said on Wednesday they never considered terminating the pregnancy or trying to fight for custody.
