The unidentified woman, 63, suffered "catastrophic injuries" after being hit by the propeller of a boat in Alcudia, Mallorca.
A 63-year-old woman was left with serious injuries bleeding out off the coast of Mallorca after a boat allegedly hit her without realising and sped away. The woman was swimming in the Alcanada area of Alcudia, a port in the northeast of the Spanish island of Mallorca, when the propeller of a boat sliced into her calf.
Suffering significant blood loss while in the water, another boat miraculously realised the woman was in distress and rushed her back to land, where she was transported to hospital.

The victim was struck shortly before 5pm on Sunday afternoon while she was bathing in the Alcudia Bay.
Not realising what had happened, the boat that injured the woman sped off, leaving her bleeding out in the water.
When a second boat chanced upon the woman, crewmembers tied a tourniquet around her leg to stem the blood flow.
The captain of the ship made an SOS call to shore and rushed back to the shore.
