Grizzly bear kills walker
A GRIZZLY bear is thought to have killed a man near Yellowstone National Park only hours after researchers had trapped and tranquilised it.
Erwin Evert, 70, was found mauled two miles from the spot where researchers working for the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team had examined a large adult male bear earlier in the day.
The suspected animal is wearing a radio collar and officials are trying to trap it to perform DNA tests to prove it carried out the attack.
Last night experts said it is unlikely that two large male bears would be in same area.
