Gunmen killed in police shoot-out
Four suspects have been killed in a shoot-out with police in the Mexican border state of Coahuila.
Five civilian bystanders were also wounded, two of whom were taken to hospital in a serious condition. Three were listed as stable at local hospitals.
A spokesman for the state attorney general's office said the wounded people were travelling on the highway near the city of Torreon at the time of the confrontation.
The police came under attack late on Thursday in a region where drug gangs have been active, he said.
Three pistols and an assault rifle were seized at the scene, he added.
More than 22,700 people have been killed in drug-related violence in Mexico since late 2006.
