Russian propagandists suggest missile strike on Statue of Liberty
One of Vladimir Putin's most vocal allies has chillingly suggested Russia launch a missile attack at the torch of the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
Vladimir Solovyov, a constant source of Russian propaganda, has fired a series of warnings at the West since Putin launched his country's brutal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
In a recent episode of his show, the Russian president's ally was locked in a horror conversation with fellow panelists, discussing the possibility of firing missiles over the US and Europe.
A clip of the exchange was translated and posted to X by Anton Gerashchenko, the former adviser in Ukraine's internal affairs ministry.
Russian political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev said: "I suggest launching a hypersonic missile across the continental US, but not at the US. Let it fly over it.

Solovyov then said: "But knock out the torch at the Statue of Liberty, huh?"
Evstafiev replied: "That's a little over the top. How about launching it from the Atlantic to the Pacific, as a test, and see what happens?"
Fellow Russian political scientist Dmitry Kulikov jumped in and said: "We usually launch missiles from west to east. We could do it the other way around. It's launched, and it flies west. It files over Europe."
Solovyov also recently sent a horrifying warning to two NATO countries during a state TV broadcast where he threatened to blow up their infrastructure.

Anton Gerashchenko took to X to share a clip of the discussion with guests on the channel Russia-1.
The video shows Solovyov specifically naming France and Poland as two potential victims of Russian attacks, adding that their "oil pipelines should be blown up".
He said: "We must calmly say that if France deploys troops, we destroy the French headquarters on French territory. We strike the territory of Poland, we sink the ships that carry the Bradley vehicles, destroy the storage bases."
