24 hurt in clash on Easter Island
A RIOT on remote Easter Island in the Pacific has left 24 people injured.
Police were pelted with rocks during a seven-hour confrontation after 10 islanders were evicted from ancestral land by the Chilean authorities.
The clash left 17 officers and eight protestors hurt. Four of those injured were sent 2,000 miles to Chile for treatment.
