Dutch footballer Demy de Zeeuw posted a video of his Apple iPhone the moment he turned his notifications on.
During the 38-second clip thousands of notifications flash on his screen and show no sign of stopping.

Mr De Zeeuw who played for the Dutch national team 27 times, runs popular football Instagram account 433 which boasts eight million followers.
His personal account has 89.1k followers.
The video clip alone clocked up 11.4k likes and more than 2,300 comments, no doubt triggering another wave of notifications
