The Chase: ‘That’s mad!’ Bradley Walsh gobsmacked by contestant’s prize money intentions
THE CHASE host Bradley Walsh was taken aback by one contestant’s admission on what they’d do with any money won on today’s show.
The Chase: Bradley laughs at contestant wanting flat extension
It came as third contestant Ollie stepped up to face Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan on The Chase.
As Bradley Walsh does with all players on the ITV quiz, he asked him what he’d do with the cash if he were to win.
Ollie told the presenter that he would like to extend his one bedroom flat as he and his wife were hoping to expand their family.
“Have you got permission to do that?” Bradley asked.
Have you got permission to do that
“Not yet. I was planning on crossing that bridge when I win the money today,” Ollie explained.
Bradley was tickled by Ollie’s plans and was left hunched over as he giggled away to himself.
“An extension on a flat? That’s mad,” he said.
Those watching at home appeared to shared a similar sentiment to Bradley as they took to twitter to comment.
“Extension for a flat, oh I’ve heard it all now #thechase,” one wrote.
Another added: “Bloke on the chase wants to put an extension on his flat but hasn't yet thought about the planning permission. Just wants to win the money.”
“Ollie has real life ambitions to extend a flat #TheChase,” a third wrote.
While a fourth mused: “I hope its a ground floor flat #TheChase.”
When it came to deciding which offer to go for, Ollie made a brave decision.
He ending up plumping for the high offer of £30,000.
One fan joked: “Really wants that extension!! #thechase.”
However, in the end Jenny proved too much of a fearsome competitor and he was caught.
But Jenny dished out some kind words on his departure.
She said: “I think you had to go for the higher offer if you wanted that bedroom and maybe an office as well.
“But I’m sure you’ll get the money somehow.”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
