Friends: ‘I was absolutely horrified’ star speaks out about Frank and Alice kissing scene
FRIENDS fans will remember the rather controversial relationship of Phoebe’s brother Frank Buffay Jr and his former home economics teacher Alice Knight-Buffay. However, it seems Phoebe wasn’t the only one horrified by the new relationship after the Alice star herself spoke out about the kissing scenes.

One of Friends most shocking relationships has to be that of Alice Knight-Buffay (played by Debra Jo Rupp) and Frank Buffay Jr. (Giovanni Ribisi). The couple first appeared in The One With The Hypnosis Tape, where Frank Jr. pays his sister Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow) a surprise visit.
When the pair are catching up, Phoebe quickly finds out that Frank and Phoebe are getting married leaving Phoebe ecstatic at the news.
However, the excitement soon ended after Phoebe found out who Frank was engaged to.
In the show Alice is 26 years older than Frank, and the relationship was made more shocking by their frequent public displays of affection.
Phoebe soon came round to the idea, but it seems it took the Alice star a little while longer.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Alice star revealed the prospect of the snogging scenes between her and Giovanni during their debut episode left her "absolutely horrified".
Debra began: “I was horrified, I was absolutely horrified.
"Every time we got a rewrite in the script, there would be more making out!
“I would just go, 'Oh my god. Oh my god! I just gotta close my eyes and do it. What else am I gonna do?’”
However, luckily for Debra, Giovanni made her feel at ease when filming the scenes.

She added: ”We'd get on set and rehearse and I just looked at him like, 'I don't know …' and Giovanni went, 'Well, we're just gonna go for it.'
"Boom, and he's on me!
"And then, because I am a little bit of a comedy – I will do anything for a laugh – once I realised that it was really funny, I was fine. I'm so fine with this."
It seems Debra wasn’t the only one who faced difficulty with certain scenes as Joey Tribbiani star Matt LeBlanc revealed he dislocated his shoulder when filming The One Where No One’s Ready.

The episode saw Joey and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) row over their favourite chair and the race to the seat lead to a terrible accident for Matt.
The actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and shared what went so wrong in the famous episode.
Matt began: “We both look at each other, look at the chair, and neither one of us are sitting in it,"
"So we both race to the chair, and I have to step over the coffee table and land on this big, huge comfortable chair.
“I don't even think it qualifies as a stunt."
“Somehow I ended up completely upside down," he explained.
"I was going to land on my head between the table and the chair, so I put my arm up to break my fall and exploded my shoulder."
