Many networks will be keen to avoid the Christmas holiday season so as to not lose any viewership.
Season two, episode six of Power Book II was originally slated for Boxing Day, December 26, so it seems likely Starz wanted to avoid that date.
Airing on January 9 instead means the show will avoid both Christmas and New Year's, once again freeing viewers' time in order to catch the episode.

In the trailer, Lorenzo turns to his son Cane (Woody McClain), saying: "I see you kept the family going and I respect that."
