A gripping first trailer for one of the most anticipated original shows for 2022 has finally been released.
I May Destroy You’s BAFTA-nominated star Paapa is George in The Lazarus Project, the next series from Giri/Haji writer Joe Barton.
The unique British thriller kicks off when George wakes up to discover he’s reliving a day from several months in his past.
He starts to think he’s lost his mind as he realises all the achievements of the past year have gone up in smoke.

However, he soon meets secret agent Archie (played by Anjli Mohindra), who recruits him into a secret organisation with the ability to turn back time known as the Lazarus Project.
“Like George, those who work at Lazarus are the few people on earth with the ability to remember the events that are undone when time goes back,” Sky explained.
George’s new colleagues refuse to interfere with the time-stream unless there’s a threat of extinction, so when a horrific accident harms someone he loves he’ll have to decide whether to remain loyal or go rogue.
Meanwhile, a wanted criminal launches his scheme to detonate a nuclear warhead and destroy the world before the agents can stop him.
An official synopsis from Sky teases: “The Lazarus Project is a riveting series that speaks directly to our uncertain times and to our desire to take charge of what is beyond our control.
“It is a moving story of love and fate within a compelling, blistering action thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats - all shot through with Joe Barton’s trademark dark humour.”
First-look stills of the series have provided full looks at the cast and a sneak peek at the show’s slick visuals.
The trailer puts the I May Destroy You breakout front and centre, while revealing some of the series’ jaw-dropping action set pieces.
