'My best friends': All Creatures Great and Small's Tristan star's tribute to co-stars
All Creatures Great and Small has been airing for a few years and the stars have grown very close since they first met. Tristan actor Callum Woodhouse paid tribute to his co-stars.

All Creatures Great and Small is back with season three and Nicholas Ralph returns as the much-loved vet, James Herriot. Fans have seen him navigate married life with his new wife, Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton), and she is now living at Skeldale House. Tristan Farnon star Callum Woodhouse spoke to Express.co.uk and other press about his off-screen friendship with his co-stars.
The feel-good family drama has returned to Channel 5 and viewers shed a tear as James tied the knot with Helen.
In episode two of the new series, viewers will see the couple navigate married life under the same roof as Tristan and Siegfried (Sam West).
Tristan is known for having a great relationship with James and the pair have become solid friends over the course of the series.
Their friendship continues off-screen and Callum had nothing but praise for his colleagues Nicholas and Rachel.
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press about their bond he said: "All of them are my best friends.

"I remember doing The Durrells and sort of thinking this is like a long-lost family.
"Everyone said to me these jobs really don't come around too often, you know where you just love everyone, so cherish it while you can.
"I did, and then immediately the next job I found myself on, it's the exact same thing.
"I just love all those guys so much, you know we're all in a Whatsapp group and we chat to each other regularly."
The star explained how he and Nicholas regularly go for Sunday roasts together in London.
As for his friendship with Rachel, he added: "Me and Rachel both have dogs so we go on dog walks together.
"It's amazing, I've just found like four brand new friends. It's great."
The star shared how for part of the series, he lived very close to his co-stars and got to spend even more time with them.
He said: "In series two we all basically lived on top of each other, but this series we were all a bit spread out but within five minutes walking distance.

"You know, we'd always hang out. We'd always go for meals. Have an evening and weekends together."
Callum is on Instagram and he has shared plenty of behind-the-scenes photos of himself with Nicholas and Rachel.
In July 2022 they spent time together in Los Angeles, California, and the series is a huge hit in America.
Star Nicholas also opened up about his experience spending time with his co-stars in different parts of the world.
He joked that he would never be recognised and fans would ask him to take photos of himself with Rachel.

He said: "A lot of the time I don't get mixed up with James because they don't recognise me.
"We are walking down the street, me and Rach, and a couple stopped and was like 'Oh my god, All Creatures Great and Small', to Rachel.
"'Can we get a picture?' and he was like 'Do you mind if you take it?' That's happened quite a few times."
After detailing a similar experience with Callum at a restaurant, he said: "It's pretty good, I'm kind of incognito."
All Creatures Great and Small airs on Channel 5 on Thursdays at 9pm.
