The Crown actress Elizabeth Debicki has been pictured filming scenes as Princess Diana on her Majorca holiday before her death in 1997.
The Crown: Netflix tease fifth season in tense trailer
The popular Netflix drama The Crown is set to head into its fifth season next month which will heavily focus on the marriage breakdown of Princess Diana and King Charles III. Ahead of its release, new images show actress Elizabeth Debicki filming scenes for season six playing the late Princess of Wales enjoying a holiday in Majorca. The trip abroad with her two sons Prince Harry and Prince William was taken just weeks before the tragic crash in Paris.
Recent pictures of The Crown stars on set confirm that viewers will get to see a glimpse at Diana’s romance with Dodi Fayed in season six.
The star also donned the iconic short blonde hairstyle with strappy white heels, a small bag to match and large pearl earrings to accompany the fit.
The photos show one scene of the Princess being warmly greeted by Harrods owner and father of her lover, Mohammed Al Fayed as they prepare for a hug.

First look at Charles and Camilla in the new The Crown season 5 trailer
The clip may only be 37 seconds long but it's clear tensions will be high in the latest season of The Crown as both Charles and Princess Diana can be seen preparing separately for a televised talk. A final voice can be heard saying: “This has become, all-out war.”
In one photo, Elizabeth can be seen lounging on an outside sofa in front of the sea next to young actors Rufus Kampa and Adrian Mole who will be playing Prince Harry and Prince William in the series.
The two young stars wear similar outfits in cream chinos and blue polo tops as they remain close to their on-screen mum.
Other scenes included the cast shooting on a super yacht in the Mediterranean which featured Diana’s partner Dodi who is being portrayed by Egyptian-British actor Khalid Abdalla.
The scenes mirror the holiday that Diana went on with her sons one month before she died from a car crash in Paris.
Diana died in the early hours of the morning on August 31 following serious injuries sustained from the high-impact collision earlier that day, sadly Dodi and driver Henri Paul died at the scene.
As the couple prepare for a televised interview, multiple news anchors could be heard reading headlines from the time with reference to Charles’ affair with long-time female friend Camilla Parker Bowles.
There’s also been speculation about the show including the alleged affair with the late Prince Phillip and his close friend Penny Knatchbull.

Dominic Cooper will be replaced by Josh O’Connor as King Charles with Imelda Staunton taking over from Olivia Coleman as the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl shared that both Camilla and Charles watched the last series of the show, although the new monarch didn’t stick with it for the whole duration.
Speaking on the Lorraine show last month, she said: “Full credit to these two, especially the Duchess who's got a wonderful sense of humour and they did watch the last series.
“I think the King stopped watching it at a point but the Duchess watched it and took it, I think as we all ought to, with a pinch of salt.
“Whether they’ll be watching the latest series, I suspect not.”
The Crown returns to Netflix on November 9.
