Inside Nature's Giants
At least we can’t complain we’ve not been warned.
Not this time. When series one of this programme first went out, I must admit it took me a little by surprise. I knew they’d be dissecting huge animals, the idea being to show us how they functioned, but somehow I hadn’t expected to be confronted by quite so much yuckiness.
Stupid of me, I grant you (what exactly had I been expecting to emerge when they cut open an elephant, for example? A chorus of can-can girls?). Anyway, as I say, at least I’m in a state of full yuck-readiness for this second series – starting with the dissection of a great white shark weighing almost a ton (or should that be a tonne? Well, it’s jolly heavy, put it that way). Later shows will feature a lion, tiger and python.
