Speaking to former royal correspondent Charles Rae, Patrick discussed Prince Harry's opinion of The Crown when he made the comment.
He remarked: "What I find interesting about this was this was just before – I think this flew under the radar a bit for people.
"Just before Harry and Meghan did their Netflix thing, Harry did a thing with James Corden.
"I tell you what… oh gosh. If you had one fake gun and one fake bullet and you lined up Harry and James Corden I don’t know which one you’d go for."

Love Island hit with over 1000 complaints in final week [LATEST]
Just one week before, GB News show Britain's Newsroom was hit with 88 complaints for the episode broadcast on July 6.
And, earlier this year, Ofcom found GB News to be in breach of broadcasting rules for a second time.
An investigation was launched into the Mark Steyn programme which aired on October 4, 2022, and included an interview between the host and Dr Naomi Wolf.
Ofcom received 422 complaints after Dr Wolf made serious claims about the Covid-19 vaccine, including that it amounted to "mass murder" and was comparable to the actions of “doctors in pre-Nazi Germany”.
Ofcom found GB News fell short of ensuring its audience was "adequately protected" against potentially harmful content.
The watchdog explained: "We found that the comments made by Naomi Wolf had the potential to impact viewers’ decisions about their health and were therefore potentially harmful.
"Given that GB News did not take adequate steps to protect viewers from this potentially harmful content, we have found the channel in breach of Rule 2.1 of the Broadcasting Code."
On August 7, Ofcom confirmed it has opened four new due impartiality investigations into GB News.
