Eamonn Holmes fumes 'It's wrong' in clash with GB News co-star over pay
Eamonn Holmes and his GB News co-star Isabel Webster often have disagreements when presenting their breakfast show.
Isabel Webster said: 'a lot of people in TV do get paid nothing'
Eamonn Holmes got into a passionate debate with Isabel Webster on Wednesday's GB News as they discussed the salary for people who work in TV. The clash came as they discussed the latest junior doctor strikes on the breakfast programme.
Eamonn began: "To work in TV, they can offer the lowest money possible and you'll get every..." he trailed off before Isabel interrupted: "I started off virtually doing it for free. Started as a runner, you get paid a pittance, don't you? I mean a lot of people in TV get do get paid nothing."
Eamonn shut Isabell down as he expressed: "No, I've never been paid a pittance. I've always believed in unions and I believe in a fair day's pay for a fair day's work. I don't believe in anybody working for nothing."
"A lot of unpaid work," Isabel chimed in as Eamonn hit back: "So I don't agree with that, I think that's basically wrong."
He sarcastically added: "But to be giving people incentives to work in TV, I always think if you hear these stories in the paper. So and so will come back to this programme. You know, the world has been saved, but where else are they gonna go?"

Speaking with guest journalist Andy Jones: "Can you imagine what it is like if someone turned around saying, 'Yeah, but you heard about that Andy Jones... I mean everybody thought he was above board...
"But he was ripping the Post Office, he was stealing for years."
"It was at a time when Post Offices were in the heart of the community where everybody knew who was running them," Isalbel weighed in.

"Many of them plead guilty for favourable prison sentences even though they have done nothing wrong."
The GB News guest went on to refer to ex Post Office boss Paula Vennells, adding: "She was happy to send these people to the war and there has been about a billion pounds spent on this."
"The Post Office has downgraded the amount of money it made available for payouts on all of this," Eamonn interjected.
"It's an absolute disgrace. Maybe we will turn again to this Andy next time around, we are just out of time."
Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel airs between Monday and Thursday on GB News.
