A Place In The Sun presenter Sara Damergi has admitted that she is not opposed to the "cheeky offers" that have become so popular on the Channel 4 show. In recent times buyers have taken to offering well below the asking price for properties on the show leading to outrage from viewers on social media.
However speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk Sara said that it's OK to chance your arm on the price. "I think I've always been a fan of a cheeky offer.
Everybody's different and maybe that's my Lebanese upbringing, but I always think it's alright to go in a bit cheeky. People are often worried about being insulting - insulting obviously the seller - and that can happen. But you can usually pull it back.
"And it’s quite funny when people go in really low. I do get some tweets that are like, 'What are they thinking that's too cheeky. What do they think they're doing?'
"You often end up in a good position. So I don't mind a cheeky offer. I'm a bit of a fan of a cheeky offer," she confessed.
The mum of two was talking in advance of the What Happened Next series hitting screens where the show caught up with previous housebuyers who had appeared.
Asked if she ever gives them a nudge in the right direction about their offers she admitted that ultimately it is down to the buyer.
"Obviously, we have a chat and usually during the final chat most of that chat is on camera, so you'll see what said most of the time. But yeah, it's down to them really.
"In terms of, obviously their finances, you'd never try to influence somebody on what kind of offer to put in because that's really up to them.

"But I try and sort of coach them through like 'hey, what's your max? "here can you comfortably get to? Have you thought about where you'd like to start from? Have you thought about where you'd like to end up?'"
"So it's just getting people with their heads straight because it can get all a bit heavy and exciting," she intimated.
"So I just like to make sure that they've got their head screwed on before we go in for the offers because you want people to make the right decision.
"Because obviously when the cameras stop rolling, it's the rest of their life so we always have to be very mindful of. It has to be affordable."
A Place In The Sun and A Place In the Sun What Happens Next? are available to stream on Channel 4.
