BBC Breakfast fans all have the some complaint after spotting technical blunder
Eagle-eyed BBC Breakfast viewers were quick to notice something wasn't quite right on Sunday morning's show.
BBC Breakfast: Sally Nugent and Nina Warhurst open the show
On Sunday’s instalment of BBC Breakfast, hosts Nina Warhurst and Ben Bland were giving viewers the latest news and headlines. However, some fans were left distracted as they noticed the time on the show was incorrect.
Spotting the blunder, social media user @weaniejeanie53 said: “Am I going mad?? @BBCBreakfast says it’s 07.03 but my iPhone and all my other clocks say it’s 07.27. What’s going on, who’s been messing with the space-time continuum??
It wasn’t long before other viewers noticed the mishap as many commented on the post to highlight the issue. @OscarNMFranklin said: “10:32 here in Addis but working back I think you are right and BBC is wrong.”
Replying to a comment, one viewer added: “Good job it isn’t a working day or many would be 20 mins late for work!” They later tweeted: “I’ve never seen it be wrong before, it was so weird hearing them say, ‘Welcome to Breakfast. It’s 7 o’clock’. When every other clock said it was 07.23! And then 7 minutes later say ‘It’s 7.30’”.
It seemed as though the issue was quickly fixed, although neither host brought up the technical blunder for the remainder of the programme. Elsewhere in the show, Nina couldn’t help but have a cheeky swipe at her co-host by calling him a show-off.
It comes after the duo were speaking to weather presenter Matt Taylor.
Before the forecast, Ben asked: “We had a cold snap, that’s about to break isn’t it? We’ve got storms on the way but is it normal that we have this many storms? What is it the ninth named storm of the winter?”
Trying to test his knowledge, Nina questioned whether or not he was able to name all of the ones we’ve had so far.
Matt replied: “Don’t do that to me, I couldn't remember my own children’s names! Never mind nine names.”
As the duo laughed in the studio, the weather presenter continued with the forecast as he gave viewers what to expect in the upcoming days.

Once he’d finished and was handing it back to Ben and Nina, it looked as though one of them had brushed up on his knowledge.
Ben said: “I was rattling my brains, the storms are Agnes, Babet, Ciaran, Debi, Elin, Fergus, Gerrit, Henk and Isha.”
While Matt applauded him for remembering them, Nina quipped: “There we go, just off the top of your head? But, no one likes a show-off.”
Agreeing, the weather host added: “No they don’t.”
Impressing them both once again, he revealed the next name for the storm that’s set to happen, Jocelyn.
Throwing his hands up in the air, Matt quipped: “I told you I was rubbish with names didn’t I?!”
Making him feel better, Nina added: “We can’t be good at everything Matt, can we?”
