Susanna Reid leaves GMB co-star red-faced as host makes brutal dig
Susanna Reid and Ed Balls welcomed viewers to Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, bringing the latest headlines and debates.
Susanna makes a dig at Ed's kicking habits
Susanna Reid aimed a brutal jibe at her Good Morning Britain co-host Ed Balls on Tuesday's show. It comes after her co-star accidentally kicked her in the head last week live on air.
During a simulated flight the pair were sitting on, Ed decided to put his feet up on the headrest, leading to him kicking Susanna in the head. The presenter addressed the incident on the latest edition of the ITV show after forgetting to update viewers on Monday.
She explained how Ed had sent her a bunch of flowers along with an apology note. While Susanna seemed to have forgiven her colleague, it didn't stop her from leaving him red-faced later in the show.
As the duo talked about how hypnotist Paul McKenna would be joining them later in the programme, Susanna asked: "Now, can he hypnotise us in the studio, Ed?
"Because you are a tiny bit sceptical, aren't you? But Paul McKenna is going to get us on track."
She added: "What are your New Year's resolutions?"
"Well, what would you like him to hypnotise me to change?" Ed probed.
"Maybe just keep your feet down... Don't put them up on the headrest, avoid knocking seven bells out of your co-presenter," Susanna quipped.
Looking mortified, Ed replied: "I don't think I need hypnosis to realise that," as Susanna laughed.

Referencing a story they'd covered earlier about a swearing parrot, he continued: "And, like the parrots, I'm suppressing my swearing."
"OK, well we can get Paul McKenna to hypnotise you out of that, as well," Susanna explained.
It came after Susanna had assured viewers at the start of the show that Ed had been very apologetic.
She stated: "It’s not a normal thing. There’s the video evidence.
"I was told I needed a VAR replay because I clearly hadn’t been hit, just like anyone who thinks I wasn’t hit, come and sit in the same seat and allow him to do the same thing to them and then you can tell me.
"But you did send me this gorgeous bunch of flowers and I was very, very appreciative. You’re a very thoughtful man with very hard shoes."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
