It's been thirty four years since the original Road House movie was released, and now director Doug Liman (Mr & Mrs Smith, The Bourne Identity) has reimagined the 80s cult classic, which will premier at this year's SXSW festival.
Based on the original screen play by David Lee Henry and Hilary Henkin, this high octane action flick features ex-UFC fighter Dalton, played by Hollywood heart-throb Jake Gyllenhaal, who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse.
Other stars include the Portugeuse actress Daniela Melchior (Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Billy Magnussen (Game Night, No Time To Die)
The film features Irish MMA fighter and professional boxer Conor McGregor in his first film role as Dalton's nemesis, a confrontational violent thug.

This 2024 remake is said to be a much edgier version of the film, and will be streaming globally on Prime Video on 21st of March.
