The Traitors reached its dramatic conclusion on Friday night when one contestant walked away with a whopping cash prize of almost £100,000.
BBC's Sally Nugent reacts to meeting Andrew from The Traitors
BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent became flustered welcoming The Traitors star Andrew Jenkins to Monday's show (January 29)."I’m a bit shellshocked to see you in the flesh if I’m honest. You are a real person," she gushed as he joined her and Jon Kay on the famous red sofa.
"Congratulations because you played a blinder. I know you went to the dark side but you played, I think a relatively honest game," she said referring to the fact that he switched from Faithful to Traitor during the show.
"You can probably tell on camera I struggled when I moved from a faithful to a traitor," the 45-year-old Welsh insurance broker admitted: "Even though I knew it was a game.
"I guess I've good morals so I found it hard when I was accusing people of lying when I know they are telling the truth. I felt awful," he lamented.
Sally claimed she had noticed this chiming in: "I could tell! There were moments at breakfast when the others came in and you just looked slightly rabbit in the headlights.
"You can tell you’re meant to be acting one way but you’re thinking how am I going to keep my face straight here," she gushed.
"It’s paranoia. It kicks in. I might as well have sat there in my cloak at breakfast," he joked.
Andrew was one of two traitors to make it to the final alongside eventual winner Harry Clark. Ahead of the final, he said: "It's been difficult, I've struggled to be honest. I didn't think I would, I really didn't think I would.
"I did doubt myself becoming a traitor, it's a very intense game but it is a game. I want to win as I'm competitive and of course, the money is important, I maybe would like to start my own business one day dealing with mental health."
While Sally and Andrew were clearly enjoying reflecting on the reality show viewers were not as enamoured of the subject calling it "rubbish".
