Silent Witness viewers all issued the same complaint just minutes into Monday night's instalment. One fan claimed they were going to have "nightmares" after they continued to show the dead body of a woman.
At the beginning of the episode, Dr Nikki Alexander (played by Emilia Fox) and Jack Hodgson (David Caves) were sent to a gruesome scene after the body of a woman was discovered a year after she died. After retrieving the corpse and investigating at the scene, some viewers found the scenes of the dead body disturbing and many took to X to share their thoughts.
@suzysasha pleaded: "#silentwitness Wish they wouldn't show dead bodies. Ugh," as @Alan1_IOW commented: "#SilentWitness Ooh, this is a gruesome one."
@cutler2023 complained: "#silentwitness has turned into a woke pile of steaming elephant t**d. Every single scene is pandering to the head fked wokerati#SilentWitness." (sic)

"Do we know who it is?" Nikki asked as DI Torres (Nadine Marshall) replied: "Not yet, we got an anonymous call a few hours ago. A would-be burglar that got more than he bargained for."
"How long do you think?" Jack asked as Nikki went on: "Six months? A year?"
"Nobody missed them then," Jack said before Nikki added: "Nobody missed them enough."
DI Torres explained: "The flat seems undisturbed, nothing to suggest any trouble."
At first, the pathologists believed the body belonged to a woman called Paula, however, after further tests, they realised it was someone else.
The second part of the episode will hit screens on Tuesday night and will see the team continue to investigate what happened.
The team are also faced with another mysterious death as they try to work out whether both deaths are linked.
Silent Witness is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
