Black Cake cast: Who stars in Oprah Winfrey’s Disney+ drama?
Black Cake is making its way to Disney+, so who are the stars of the Oprah Winfrey drama?
Black Cake official trailer
Black Cake will soon be ready to watch on Disney+ and subscribers are keen to know who its stars are.
Based on the best-selling novel by author Charmaine Wilkerson, Black Cake is told over two different timelines: the first in late 1960s Jamaica and the second in modern-day America.
The story sees runaway bride Covey (played by Mia Isaac) disappearing from her hometown, believed either to be dead or a fugitive running away after her husband’s murder.
Fast-forward to the present day and estranged children Byron (Ashley Thomas) and Benny Bennett (Adrienne Warren) find out after their mum Eleanor Bennett’s (Chipo Chung) death how she fled the Caribbean to start a new life.
Having originally come out in the US on Hulu with rave reviews, Disney+ fans are now excited to watch the drama, executive-produced by Oprah Winfrey, for themselves.
