Emmerdale: Nicky gasps after dramatic car crash
Emmerdale fans think more than one exit could be on the cards after Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John) left Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) for dead after crashing his car. The pair, who had both been drinking, were forced to leave the village after Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) called Nicky asking for help.
The chef was trapped in the toilet of a bar after he realised the culprits who previously attacked him were also there. After ringing his boyfriend for help, Nicky wanted to drive himself there, but Ethan, who said he had drunk less than him, would do it instead.
However, as they sped through the backroads, Ethan ended up crashing the car - and while he made it out ok, Nicky ended up injured and covered in his own blood. After checking he was still breathing, rather than waiting for an ambulance, Ethan did a runner, leaving poor Nicky for dead.
Luckily, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) was driving by and stopped to help Nicky. After calling for an ambulance, Moira tried ringing Caleb (Will Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) who rushed to be by their son's side.
Nicky was rushed to hospital, and as the episode drew to a close, doctors told Caleb and Ruby that things weren't looking good for their son.
Ruby rushed into the hospital, and asked: "Moira, where is he and what has happened?"
Moira replied: "I found him at the bottom road, his car was pretty badly smashed up. Then he must have managed to get out and fall away from it."
As Ruby asked what had happened, Moira explained: "He was unconscious when I found him."
The doctors proceeded to wheel Nicky in on a hospital bed, telling his parents: "We've given him a CT scan, but I'm afraid that head injury is extremely serious.
"There is some bleeding on the brain...we're going to do everything we can."
