Kate told the politician: "Interestingly we took Labour pledges out and also conservative pledges out and about to check people's reaction to it and extraordinarily a huge majority couldn't even tell the difference.
"They'll tell the difference should we win the election and get into a position of actually delivering it Kate...what we've had is 14 years of the Conservatives actually in government and all they have delivered is chaos and instability in our economy and public services," he said.

"What we outlined yesterday was six steps in very succincent terms but beneath each one of them is a programme and a set of plans that can make them happen.
What we are trying to do and what we've worked so hard at is to earn the trust of voters -and we know we've got to earn that and we've been working so hard to do so.
Not just in recent days but in the past four years since Sir Keir Starmer became leader of the Labour Party so we can actually assure people we have the plans and the people who can deliver it.
