GMB: Adil Ray sings Beverly Hills Cop theme tune

Good Morning Britain viewers issued the same complaint as Adil Ray got carried away recreating the theme tune for the 1984 comedy-action film Beverly Hills Cop on Friday's show.

As his co-host Kate Garraway was trying to present the news programme and discuss Beverly Hills Cop hitting the streaming giant Netflix this summer, Adil started singing the iconic theme tune.

He carried on making sounds to mimic the instruments used in the catchy song as Kate tried to fight her way through the segment.

While he continued making noises, Kate raised her voice and said: "Richard Arnold has got all the details in a moment... But first, it's competition time."

Adil didn't get the hint to stop humming the theme tune, and by this point, he was bopping around in his seat pretending to play the keyboard.

Kate was desperately trying to tell viewers that Good Morning Britain was giving away a massive £97,000 but Adil would not stop singing.

This rubbed viewers up the wrong way, with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent their frustrations.

One viewer penned: "Please stop encouraging Adil he isn’t funny #gmb."

A second asked: "Has he stopped yet?! #adilray #stfu #gmb."

Another noted: "Actually embarrassed for you there Adil lad, cringe. #gmb."

Another X user who took to the social media platform to comment, fumed: "You're not funny, Adil. Stop! #gmb."

Despite the backlash during the segment, Adil was later praised by several viewers for holding Sir Keir Starmer to account as the Labour Leader was grilled about the upcoming General Election.

One fan of the show penned: "Go Adil #gmb," with a smiley face emoji.

Another said: "Loving @adilray and Kate Garroway on #gmb this morning. We need Adil on more often. Clear speaking, and with a great sense of humour."

Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays between 6am and 9am on ITV and ITVX.
