This Morning fans shocked by Dermot O'Leary's real age as he celebrates birthday
Dermot O'Leary celebrated his birthday live on This Morning earlier today - but learning how many candles he'll have on his cake has left viewers stunned.
This Morning host Dermot O'Leary looks at least ten years younger than his biological age, according to fans - as he marked his birthday on the show.
Celebrity pals including the likes of comedian Romesh Ranganathan sent warm wishes via videolink this morning as they marked him turning 51.
It was his co-star Alison Hammond who let his true age slip, as she exclaimed: "Do you know what? It's a lovely age!" However, she couldn't resist pointing out that she is a couple of years behind him on the calendar, quipping: "I'm still in my forties, darling!"
This will be the first birthday that Dermot has chosen to spend at work, rather than taking the day off for his celebrations. Viewers took to Twitter to share their astonishment that Dermot has already turned 51, marvelling that he scarcely looks a day over 40.
"I thought Dermot was about 40/41! I want whatever he's on #ThisMorning!" one fan quipped. "Dermot looks about 40 #thismorning," a second agreed.
"No way he's 51 omg he looks amazing," gaped a third. However, a fourth was forced to confront their true age, as they exclaimed: "Dermot is 51 now. I remember his early days on Big Brother - God I feel old."

Dermot has addressed his youthful visage before, attributing it to his relationship with his producer wife Dee Koppang.
A couple of years ago, the loved up pair celebrated her 49th birthday, and Dermot uploaded a bare-chested snap of himself clutching a beer to his chest as they enjoyed her big day abroad.
He's been married to Dee for more than 12 years, and they have a toddler son called Kaspar, who Dermot admits can be a bit "full on".
However, far from adding frown lines to his face, his fatherhood experience seems to be keeping him younger and livelier than ever.
