Coronation Street fans 'work out' Lauren Bolton's fate - and she's still alive
Lauren Bolton disappeared from Coronation Street on February 23 and Roy Cropper is currently awaiting trial for her murder.
Coronation Street teaser: What happened to Lauren?
Coronation Street fans believe Lauren Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) is still alive and they think they have figured out her fate. The teenager was last seen in the ITV show on February 23 and her disappearance has had huge repercussions for everyone in Weatherfield.
Roy Cropper (David Nielson) is currently languishing in jail awaiting trial for her murder. However fans are not convinced she is dead and feel that the truth is even more sinister and she is being trafficked.
Given that evil Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) has a background in grooming and trafficking this isn't completely implausible. Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is certainly convinced that he had something to do with the disappearance since she discovered he was one of the teens subscribers on OVids. Fans made their feelings known on a Reddit thread asking if she was dead.
@Shivvyszha said matter of factly: "Nope. Not at all. Probably being trafficked." @Sympathyquiche agreed, writing: "I assume she's being trafficked and this week will reveal where she's being held. However, my obscure theory is that Joel has kidnapped her and is holding her somewhere. Either they will be shown on screen together as a cliff hanger or DeeDee will find her." Don't miss...

Viewers will finally learn Lauren's fate this week in a series of special episodes and the teaser trailer released by ITV shows the teen terrified in a flashback scene as a gloved hand is put over her mouth.
However the reveal may not come in time for Roy who finds himself in serious danger when his life is threatened in prison.
And with both Nathan and Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) being arrested tensions are running very high on the street.
Coronation Street is on Monday to Friday this week (May 27-31) at 7.30pm.
